Genesis has major abandonment issues. But she always counted on optimistic sunny disposition to work in her favor. That is until, she got her heart broken and herself humilated on a reality TV show. That too by a prince

Now, back in Iowa, she is trying to pick up the broken pieces of her life and heart. But the Prince of her dream is trying to be  the Prince of real life and making it hard for her not to forgive and forget. Will Genesis have her happily-ever-after?

As a Romantic book, I didn’t hold much expectation of the book other than the whole romantic element. But the addition of a drama did lift up the traditional plot. While the pot definitely did work out in favor of the book, there were times that I just wanted to smack the lead character in her first person tone for being overtly naive and insecure. Her characterization definitely made it annoying and a taxing effort for me to finish.

Overall, the romantic element was emphasised more than the lust and chemistry that is usually seen in this books. Though I liked the title of the book, the cover image felt a bit off for such a title.

My opinion: Not a bad book, just not something that I will go around recommending every time.

My rating: 2.5 out of 5
