Dr. Niall Watson is a third generation lawman. Stress and cool intellect is part of his lifestyle. What he never expected was to find a baby in distress at his neighbour’s apartment right after a near-fatal shootout at his sister’s wedding. Now he has to be a protector and a rescuer of his new family and Lucy McKane’ penchant for getting into trouble seems to make it hard for him to keep his reason and sanity intact.

This is a slight deviation from the usual red hot mills and boons that I was indulging in last month. The plot is simple but has been carefully crafted with anticipation and action with tendrils of an unusual romance uplifting the storyline. There is simplicity and yet the element of intrigue makes it an interesting read. The lead characters are definitely interesting and unique in the way they have been portrayed and deviates from the traditional billionaire romances. All the characters that have been introduced promises for an interesting series that will definitely keep the audience involved.

The cover image definitely looks like one of the models has posed for it. There is nothing extraordinary about the image or the title. The tone of simplicity reflects the underlying theme of the plot.

My opinion: Definitely an interesting read. I am looking forward to the rest of the series.

My rating: 3.5 out of 5
