Half-demon, half-goddess, Jade’s fate is all about a curse that makes her and her four sisters a pawn in an epic battle against the gods. Can she find a way tonoutsmart the ill-fated prophesy, change her fate and find love?
Well, there is something quirky and fascinating about paranormal books. But I have mixed reactions when it comes to this book. While the plot is excellent and has a potential for excellence, I was not able to enjoy it completely. The novel started off on a good, fast-paced action, but by the middle and the end of the book, the entire tone of the action was completely lost. Not only the disorientation in the tone of plot development confounded me as a reader, but it reflected in the way the characters eere created. There was absolutely no chemistry between the lead characters, and other than being a soulmate they appeared to be bumping around each other in an attempt to find their footing in the plot.
The title is quite simple and reflects the main idea of the female characters. Compared to the darker tones that were used to make the whole book edgier, the cover image looks like a novice.
Quite a disoriented book after reading three excellent books.
