Synopsis:

Alex Hanas may not be singularly pleased about his father’s second marriage. But he couldn’t pull of the display of his temper when he met his teenage step-sister Elynn.

Four years later, Alex is as close to Elynn as a step-brother can be. But he is done feeling like a friend. It’s time to take back what is rightfully his.

Review:

The book has been built on the age-old plot of when a billionaire falls in love. But that’s  where the similarity ends. The plot had a good mix of strong chemistry, honest and strong love, and few thrilling elements.

The characters are powerful in their own way and yet complimented each other without overshadowing the smooth flow of the plot. As a billionaire, Alex has been sketched with a right combination of intimidating, strength and vulnerability which as a female reader I found quite seductive. While the story does depict a reationship between step-siblings, instead of appearing creepy and incestuos, it felt right and well deserved. Overall, the character development was in sync with the flow of the plot and the simple and easy narration from the voice of both the character was an added benefit.

The title is simple and effectively depicts the main plot. It may sound a bit dark and demanding, but with the way the character of Alex has been deatiled out, it ends up feeling justified. The cover image is definitely provocative and perfectly describes the brilliant chemistry that exists between the two lead characters.

My opinion:

I don’t think any of my readers is a stranger to my love for romantic books. I am a big fan of romantic books, but add few extra elements and I am a happy girl. The book is perfect for a quick happy read and you will defined anticipate for the rest of the installments in the series.

My rating: 4 out of 5
