Review:
I am not usually a big fan when it comes to books which talks about politics, but this was more of a fictional story of romance and drama based on political background.

I like the lead characters and how they have been developed. There is lottle room for error with a plot based on a political story with intrigue, drama and romance as themes. The character development is consistent with the way the story has been written. Since it is the first installment of the series, you can actually notice the room provided by the author for further character development and plot development.

What I loved the most about the book is not only its simple and clear narrative style delivered through flashbacks, but also the right mix of drama and intrigue which culminated into the perfect anti-climax which can be continued into ththe next installment of this series. The simplicity of book can be seen in its use of title and the cover image. The entire title speaks for the main story of the whole series. Coming to the cover image,  I found the one provided in Netgalley to be more darker than the alternate image that can be found on google; I am a big fan of simple designs and that’s why Iam leaning more  towards the second image.

Alternate cover image:

My opinion: I am looking forward to the second part after such a dramatic ending and I would definitely recommend this book to the adult age group.

My rating: 4 out of 5
