In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “From You to You.”
Hello you old bird..!!!
I hope life hasn’t overwhelmed you already. But if it has, take some time out for yourself ALWAYS, take a deep breath and remember all that you have done or sacrificed to come to this point in life. You just might have regrets. “What” and “if” sound least threatening individually, but together they can completely ruin and scramble your head.
You most likely will be married with kids (whom you never wanted when you were young) but do not regret the life you have. Appreciate it and make sure you take the time to appreciate the man in your life. Don’t forget and neglect him and put him on the back benches. Take time to have small moments with him too. Life slips away way too quickly.
You had lot of plans when you were young. Plans to see the world. Don’t forget yourself and your plans just because life has just kept on moving on and never stopped to look back for you to catch up. Make time.
This is the time when you will realise your age and start worrying about wrinkles and grey hairs. Age is nothing but numbers. It is just a indicator of the life that you have lived and how much experiences you just might have gained. Be graceful about it. DO NOT go for botox. Getting poked in your face to look like a stiff board is not an attractive feature to look at.
Be strong. Stay strong. Be responsible. Love yourself. Be there for your parents and your brother. Don’t forget them just because life happened.
A show of support
From your still naive 25 year old self.
